DinoLenny WestEndGirls (Santé Remix)

"West End Girls" is a song by British pop duo Pet Shop Boys. Written by Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe, the song was released twice as a single. The song is influenced by hip hop music with lyrics focusing on class, and inner-city pressure, and were inspired by T.S. Eliot's poem The Waste Land. It was generally well received by contemporary music critics and has been frequently cited as a highlight in the duo's career.

The first version of the song was produced by Bobby Orlando and was released on Columbia Records' Bobcat Records imprint in April 1984

Sante However, a party animal, studio gremlin and a producer who effortlessly spans the old and new skool in the most uncontrived of ways has show us his remix of Deno Lennys  interpretation of West end girls.

Nick Lynar and the Sideways Djs

Nick Lynar and the Sideways Djs (Jake Andris and Jackson Philip), have raised the bar too dam high with this professionally mastered well balanced deep track that seems to be causing all house heads in our town writing off to there real estate agents for a rent reduction. These boys have come along way and are now beginning to fall into a very niche category of DJs in this town where quality matters.

Production mixed with consistently good parties, a bucket load of hard work and backing themselves has drawn nothing but positive outcomes for all of these guys. Individually, Nick Lynar, holding a degree in audio engineering and sound production carried out at the JMC Academy in Melbourne has signed one of his many tracks to Klub Kids and is beginning to turn the heads of record labels who are now seeing the ability that this kid has in a studio. Nick currently holds residency at North Wollongong Pub which has been home to some Wollongnong's strongest local DJs.

Nick, Jake and Jackson are both on high rotation spinning tunes at various bars/clubs/pubs in Wollongong & the Northern Suburbs that are most active in hosting House music events. Including, The Bar Next Door to Samuels in Thirroul where local DJ Harrison Moore hosts the expanding Veuve Party and also The Brewery where the Laze DJs are hosting an array of house djs weekly.

But one that stands out driven by Jake and Jackson, a snazzy outdoor space perfect for the needs of a karate expert house music lover on a friday afternoon, Lair Lyf Fridays at Towradgi Beach Hotel. A combination of live music, local artists and house djs in Wollongong that showcase the sideways DJs weekly amongst a selection from that niche category of quality consistant DJs from the town that is certainly on the rise, and this time i dont mean rent!!!

Statement:

▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ LAIR LYF - FRIDAYS ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
The idea behind Lair Lyf was built on the simple pleasures of good times, great people and a love for music. What started off as a hidden past time behind closed doors, has now expanded to combine these simple pleasures for all to enjoy.
▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬

Recently Jake and Jackson had their CDJs and their mixer stolen from their Lair and for those who dont live a djs life this is like loosing your kitten or having someone drive a shopping trolly repeatedly 10 times in to every panel of your brand new BMW. There is word that the house music community are making donations to the cause to see that these guys can continue making/sharing their music and keep on keeping on.

If you would like to make a donation contact them here Sideways Djs

THM will be donating $50 to the boys, peace out, and be sure not to miss Nick, Jake & Jackson @ the next THIS HOUSE MOVES party with headliner...............?????  TBA
