Darius Syrossian ....yeeeoowwwww its about time, if there has been any one i have been waiting for to come out it has been this guy . A close friend of Steve Lawler who originally brought him into the Sankeys scene and into the VIVA Warriors Saga. A true lover of house and also one to speak his mind. Nothing will get in his way, well except of coarse the security officer at bpm that dragged him off the stage while enjoying a night with Steve Lawler. 

His recent project has been the hugely successful, Tribal Sessions where he has hosted a series of parties inviting more or less mates of his, but true house legends to us along to his nights.

THM PODCAST #004 - JACOB MALMO

This House Moves Podcast #004 is a 67min mix from a Veteran Melbourne DJ Jacob Malmo, once residing in Wollongong Jacob made his way down to Melbourne years ago instantly driving his way into leading house venues influencing them with his sound, a sound that separates him from the rest, his experience is truly demonstrated through his sets and his ear for creating feeling and meaning and moulding a vibe throughout a set impeccable.

I think every experienced dj can look back through the years of gigs, hours of play time and see how once upon a time they were impatient with their mixing and just wanting to show skill and the ability to mix from one track to another rather then taking a step back, looking up whos in front of you and selecting something that is fitting for the vibe or is fitting for the point of your set.

This is something that Jacob has perfected, a mature dj with alot of depth.

Jacob holds a long term residency at revolver currently playing fridays along with another residency on fridays at Ms Collins, on saturday you will find him playing Juke at the Prince Bandroom, 161 and then back to revolver on Sundays.

Jacob is also a host for Melbournes Kiss Fm and has been a contributor towards This House Moves. He has put together a 67 min set for us, hope u enjoy as much as we did

KEINEMUSIK - COMING TO SYDNEY (13th SEPTEMBER 2014)

So normally i would post just 1 mix for mix of the week but this week I'm going to post a few Mixes and tracks, all from the same label. KEINEMUSIK. Now this label is one Ive been following for quite sometime, since when i first discovered Rampa back in October 2012 when he broke out with a massive tune - Everything featuring Meggy, (see here for previous posts by Rampa on THM) Since then i noticed Rampa join the Kienemusik label releasing many tracks with ReYou and also teaming up with the likes of &ME.


This is when i really started catching on to Keinmusik watching it grow and seeing a small super group beginning to form with a few amazing producers with very similar taste and style who seemed to be all enthusiastic in their own career, and i mean everything that i heard being released on this Keinemusik label has been absolute gold.
Rampa, &ME, David Mayer, Adam Port, Reznik & Monja Gentschow are what is making up Keinemusik at the moment and Im very fkn excited to say that 2 of these fellas &ME and Adam Port are actually planning on coming to Australia for the very first Keinemusik showcase on Australian shores ever, NEXT MONTH on Saturday the 13th of September ........annnnddddddd im even more excited to tell you that good friends from the Mantra Collective (Telly, Jack, Antonie & Tim) are hosting them at the imperial Hotel, Sydney, this will possibly go down as one of the best club events this year, i garuentee seriously put this one on your calander because this party isnt just another party its a big statement from the boys, a milestone that spreads Mantra Collective apart from others

Ahhhhhhh were back on.... the lack of posting over the last few weeks has not been from the lack of enthusiasm towards This House Moves its been from a major step ive decided to make for a new chapter of THM, I've finally made a move to Sydney, with a new job which allows me to work away with earphones in my ears, a new car with a mad decent sound sytem (fully sick), and plenty of commuting from Wollongong to Sydney over the last 3 to 4 weeks has given me plenty of time to sift through so much music and i can seriously say I've stumbled across a fair few tracks I've been dying to post here, Starting with one i found last week .....maaaaaaannnnnn now i dont want to sound biased because we have hosted Henrique for a THM event in the past but his latest production with Dake blew my mind its not yet released but here is a little snippet to get you as excited as i am for the release.

Got a heap more to post, will be bringing some consistency back into this blog so keep your eyes and ears peeled !!

Taya - Kieravan

TAYA native to Byron Bay is someone I've been watching and listening too for a little while now. Byron hasn't got a massive house music scene compared to the big smoke but that hasn't stopped the quality of music being produced from this little beach side shire. I caught TAYA playing at Splendour In The Grass last year and he delivered a perfectly mixed set of driving deep to heavy tech. His playing style is versatile and his producing is a distinct heavy Australian deep house sound. This is one to seriously watch!

THM Podcast #003 - Tomek - June 2014

Here it is our third Podcast put together by a 30yr old dj/promoter from newcastle who we have seen merging into the sydney scene of late, Tomek produced a deep techy mix that my eardrums cant get enough of. should definitely get you though your friday night. Through passion and his drive in this industry tomek has built a reputation for himself in newcastle. 

Over the years Tomek has endeavoured in firm relationship with 45yr old vetran Phil Smart who funnily enough started his journey djing in the Wollongong area back in the 80s. They had both approached a mutual friend in regards to getting a new night under way for Newcastles nightlife.

Phil and tomek quickly discovered a common denominatior in there lifestyles and in the last 24 months have recently joined forces to bring you Colour Sound.

ColourSound is a new, multi-sensory clubbing experience for Newcastle. Sounds like you've never heard before, delivered by local & special guest DJs. 

It seems like this podcast could not have come in better timing as this saturday they will be holding their 4th Colour Sounds event in Newcastle headlining Kerry Wallace, another legend who has brought us those unforgettable S.A.S.H sundays, Thier Parties previously have seen close friends of theirs, Owen Howells, Robbie Lowe and Gabby as guests...

Jay Shepheard

So here is one from an all time favourite of mine, i think i last saw Jay Shepheard, maybe just over a year ago now play Spice Cellar and i have remembered it to be one of the most memorable nights in that place, he absolutely killed it. This weekend he has quite a busy schedule as he hits Sydney and Wollongong. Jay Shepheard is definitely hot right now on the house music front and is in popular demand with 3 shows to play this sunday, SPICE, S.A.S.H & PARKSIDE, Wollognong, 3 parties which i would consider to be the strongest event brands this state has to offer right now.

Where ever u are make sure u get to one of these solid events, or even get to all of them, ill be showing my face at 2 thats for sure.
